Vietnam Day 1 : HCMC -Da Lat
So here begins my recount of our 7 day Vietnam trip. Vietnam is a place that one has to go to experience for oneself, much like how Hongkong was. Because of this, we didn’t take as many pictures as we did in Korea/Taiwan. To describe it as simply as possible in a few lines, the place has a combination of the rustic charm that one would experience in 70s Singapore, combined with a certain tenacity of the people that may arguably be said to have developed out of their war-torn history. While uncomfortable and chaotic at most times, after a while you realize that there is actually some order within that chaos, and I found myself slipping into the whole flow of the life there pretty easily.
Back from Nam

We’re back from Vietnam after a 7 day journey of the area. More updates on the trip soon. Check this space.
I’m off
Off to Vietnam for a couple of days with Stella. See you when I get back.
…
I’ve been feeling extremely fatigued despite the sleep I’ve been having and I don’t know why. I’ve been feeling weak all day and I’m very sure it’s not because of the gym. Combined with a general feeling of irritation, it’s not making studying for the last paper very easy. Gotta hang in there. Just a little bit more. Maybe I just want to get out of here and not have to care about stuff for a while.
To Vietnam
Tickets have been booked, and it’s been confirmed. Will be off to Vietnam from the 11th to the 17th of May. Will be a very different trip for me, and it will definitely be an experience.
HK day 3
As Cheryl and Erwin couldn’t join us for breakfast this morning, the both of us headed down to take some pictures and have our own breakfast. We had to check out at around 12 so we had a bit of time to just explore the little shopping mall that our hotel was located at.
hk day 2
Woke up to the cold air of the city. Took a couple of pictures of the view from Panda Hotel. Really beautiful. Here begins day 2 of our HK journeys.
HK day 1
So here begins day one of our HK trip, in Changi Airport. As I said before, HK is a city of juxtaposition, a place where the colonial old meets the capitalist new, its architecture and city planning showing the somewhat incomplete transition between the two. For a city person like myself, I enjoyed taking in the sights and sounds of the city, but I’ll probably think twice before actually staying or working there. At the end of the 5 days, my head was spinning from the intensity of the place.
See the rest of our adventures after the jump.
Just like how Stella is now nursing a bad throat infection of sorts, I’m now feeling the effects of my body trying to recover from the bad air in hk plus all the activity. Slept like a pig in the afternoon, and woke up feeling a little giddy. Probably need more fruits and exercise.
