The Lomo shots are back. Think on average about half of each roll came back; the other half was probably spoiled or overexposed or whatever. Suffice to say, we’re pretty pleased and Stella was really excited about it. I shall let the pictures do the talking, since I think that’s what is great about lomo shots. They somehow feel quiet and pensive, as though you caught a snippet of another reality. Caught Before Sunrise today as well, and it was also one of those quiet and pensive shows. Very well done. I’ll be looking out for After Sunset soon.

hk day 2
Woke up to the cold air of the city. Took a couple of pictures of the view from Panda Hotel. Really beautiful. Here begins day 2 of our HK journeys.
recent days
Been up to a couple of stuff these few days. Started painting our Hordes army with Stella, and got to watch Red Cliff, which was a wonderful movie in my opinion, despite some of the reviews criticizing its casting and weak characters. I love medieval battle formations and battle scenes, so modern movies that manage to capitalize on modern filming technology and scale really resonates in my geek soul. Sitting at the front row trying to watch such a panoramic movie sure wasn’t the best way to enjoy the movie though, and we came out with stiff necks, but we still had an excellent time nonetheless.
And today, we headed down to do our graduation photoshoot. Frankly I didn’t expect it to be over so fast, but it was over in a short couple of minutes. It was a meaningful experience though, and something that I will remember for a long time to come. Hope the pictures turn out nice though. I was told that I wasn’t smiling enough. Heck, the photographer had to prompt me to smile more so many times.
We’re going to matriculate next wed. How fast! Hello MA.
Taking pictures of small people
Here’s a great article (courtesy of Keane) that teaches you how to take great pictures of your miniatures. As some of you might know, I do like photography quite a lot, and I’m always itching to try something with my point and shoot ixus 70. I’m certainly going to try this out quite soon. Stella and I can’t wait for the minis that are arriving on Sunday.
